About Me

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Florida State University. My research interests are in health economics, public economics, and applied microeconomics.

My job market paper examines how the removal of a sales tax exemption for condoms in Texas affected risky sexual behavior and sexual health outcomes. In particular, I study how increasing the cost of safe sex influences rates of sexually transmitted infections among young people.

Teaching is an important and rewarding part of my academic work. I have served as the instructor of record for undergraduate courses in Introduction to Econometrics and Intermediate Microeconomics at Florida State University. My approach to teaching emphasizes developing economic intuition alongside formal analytical skills, helping students understand not only how economic models work, but also how to apply them to real-world problems.
